What we offer here at Stepping Stones
Within Stepping Stones, we place emphasis on the environment and the importance this plays in the childrens development. To support this we have planning that supports indoors and outdoors to ensure a rich, broad range of activities. Alongside this we take daily outings within the community to ensure the children experience a wide range of activities and environments and experiences during the day with us here at Stepping Stones. We strive for the home from home feel.
To accompany the parent communication as detailed below, at the door with parents we have a detailed handover about your childs day. On the doors to each room there is also menu for the week, parent notices, activities that we will be completing through the week and any relevant education/health and safety posters. Staff members who work that room are also displayed so you can be aware of what familiar faces your child will see every day.
Parent Communication
We pride ourselves on excellent parent partnerships and communication. Part of our communication is through news via blossom, this is the app that the parents can download to stay up to date on your bundle of joys day!
Blossom is an educational platform that connects parents with their children’s experiences at nursery. Here are some key features for parents:
- Parent Communication: Blossom provides a Parent App available on iOS and Android. Parents can receive instant updates and photos about their child’s journey at nursery. The app allows for:
- Diary Updates: Live updates throughout the day, including meals, snacks, nappies, sleeps, and activities.
- Learning Journeys: Regular sharing of children’s progress and development, including golden moments, formative reports, and assessments.
- Paperless Billing: Detailed invoices, payment reminders, and receipts.
